Letter to the World
As an artist, singer-songwriter Cara Cantarella has been compared to performers as diverse as Sarah MacLachlan, Ani DiFranco, and Alanis Morrisette. But she really views the influences of Joni Mitchell and James Taylor as her musical “roots.” Cara’s second CD, Letter to the World, is pure evidence of those influences, especially in its message.
Letter to the World is a CD about forces beyond our control. It’s about mysterious factors that conspire to bring us what’s best for us, whether or not we know it. It’s about how, miraculously and fortunately, we learn from our mistakes. After everything, it reminds us, our lives can hold as much happiness as we choose to let in. Our job is to do just that: let it in!
